This black and white photograph was sent to me by Glen French. It is an old penny postcard picture and Glen thinks it is from the 1920's and probably somewhere in the Mid-West.

By the way, Glen is President of the North American Horse and Mule Loggers Association inc.

Big Wheels logging arch

This home made logging arch was built by Patrick Harvey from Maine USA.

Ulvins timber arch ideal for saw logs up to about 45cm diameter and pole lengths to about 8 meters.

Ulvins Kombi-Drag. Best used for long extraction routes and will take lengths to about 5 meters. Wheels can be removed to allow a certain amount of braking on downhill routes
